Gram Gaurav Pratishthan (GGP) was established as a charitable trust, at village Naigaon, lies in the severely drought-prone region of Purandhar Taluka, near Pune, Maharashtra. Ever since it has been the back bone to various development and projects carried out under by Pani Panchyat.

Our Vision

Enabling equable distribution of water to all of its people in the village through Sustainable development of the watershed to improve the quality of life of its inhabitants and participating communities through education, training and active participation in sustainable production activities.

Developing holistic farming system through the use of organic farming based on scientific techniques are very successful remedy to the economic and ecological crises edangered by Green revolution.

Our Mission

1. Assured Water for Population who are depending on Land for livelihood.

2. Natural Resouce Protection and Conservation especially water.

3. Protecting water rights for Weaker Section of the Society.

4. Safeguarding agricultural income or provide alternate livelihood support to the people who are potential future economic and ecological refugees who are uprooted by mounting farm production costs and a rapidly degrading natural resource base.

5. Practice Organic Farming for Sustainable development.

6. Promote Harmony among the inhibitant and the environment.

7. To develop a watershed model based on water equity that would transfer philosophy and technology nationally and internationally in agricultural, environmental and conservation of water sector in a integrated way.

  • Extensive agriculture by lifting water in uplands for the land which cannot get water normally for cultivation.
  • Self imposed common tight control ensures optimum utilisation of scarce water resource.
  • Only crops which require perennial irrigation are permitted.
  • Emphasis on food crops ensures food security.
  • Social tensions reduced due to participatory management of community resources.
  • Some city migrants have returned to their villages to go back to farming.
